Aspes Villas Serifos

Tsigarasdesign studio undertook the architectural design of a residence within the Aspes Villas complex, drawing inspiration from Cycladic architecture and the morphology of the landscape.

Inside, particular emphasis was placed on the materiality of surfaces and the quality of natural light. The white wall, with its undulating textured finish, functions as an architectural device that captures light and reflects its changes throughout the day. At the same time, the semi-transparent white curtains — acting as lightweight, movable partitions — define flexible zones of privacy while enhancing the sense of fluidity and openness, in direct dialogue with island architectural tradition.

With clean, low volumes, natural materials, and subtle gestures, the design aims for seamless integration into the landscape of Serifos. The connection between interior and exterior is reinforced through semi-open spaces and framed openings toward the view, while the overall concept reflects the principles of sustainability and simplicity that define the design ethos of tsigarasdesign studio.
