CYCLADIC ESSENCE
Holiday Residence | Kato Chora, Serifos

In Kato Chora, Serifos, the transformation of an existing holiday residence by tsigarasdesign studio reinterprets Cycladic architecture through a contemporary design language, emphasizing simplicity, timelessness, and sustainability.

The existing structure serves as the starting point for an architectural intervention that redefines spatial organization and the relationship between individual functions. The visual and functional integration of spaces creates a continuous spatial experience, allowing natural light to flow throughout the interior while enhancing a sense of openness and comfort.

Light, color, and texture become the primary elements of the architectural composition. Traditional materials are combined with clean geometries, soft curves, and minimalist surfaces, shaping an environment where Cycladic identity finds a renewed contemporary expression.

The design approach of tsigarasdesign studio highlights the value of essential simplicity, creating a residence that balances architectural tradition with contemporary aesthetics, placing spatial quality and the everyday living experience at the heart of the design.
